Please view photos for additional condition information. A great set to use or add to your collection. Other than that the set is great and still has a lot of life left in it. The box shows some soiling, scratches, and some bumps to the surface. The set came to us with its entire content and we are selling it as found. It is honest wear with no repairs or modifications. The set in general shows wear commensurate with its age and use over the years. The deck of playing cards shows signs of use and some soiling but is complete. The entire set with box weighs almost 3 pounds.Ĭondition: The set is in very good used condition with an occasional mark on a few chips, some color loss in a few chips, fading of the red coloring of the velvet lining of the interior of the box, some scratches to the surface of the carrying trays, and some loose spots on the vinyl cover of the box especially at the corners. The heavier smooth chips (there is only 8 of them) measure ~1 7/16" and weigh ~6.4 grams. The chips measure `1 1/2" in diameter and weigh 2.2 grams. Size and Weight: The box measure ~8 1/2" by ~8/1/4 by ~2 7/8" when closed. Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.ĭate: Uncertain but most likely 1950's or 1960's could be earlier. The 8 heavier chips, which we think maybe Bakelite are not decorated and are smooth. All chips, except the 8 heavier red chips (which weigh 6.4 grams each), are decorated with an impressed horseshoe on both sides within a circle. The chips themselves measure ~1 1/2" and individually weigh about 2.2 grams each. The chips are made of what looks like a light polymer, which appears to be rather light in weight and has a paper like matte finish. The space has a used deck of Linen Finish playing cards, a clear plastic container with five regular dies in it, and a paper box containing five poker dies. The trays holding the chips fit nicely on either side of the interior with a space in between them. There is also 8 thicker plastic (Bakelite?) chips, which we are using to keep each set of the regular chips in place. Other items shown in images also available search. These trays hold white (~105 pieces), red (~52 pieces) and blue (~52 pieces) chips in them. View this item and discover similar for sale at 1stDibs - Vintage poker dice set (5), circa 20th century.
